He is a 6 month old baby who now is in PICU because his babysitter shook him. She is now out on a 00 bond, while he lies in a hospital struggling to live. where do the stairs GO???

Okay my house never finished back in 1954, they never built actual stairs, we only have a pull down. Where do the go? We have a cape cod style home. two bedrooms on the right side and a living room and the kitchen on the left and a bathroom in the middle. Please help!
